You cannot.  Any G or A card will be a CardBus card (because of inherent
limitations on PC Card transfer rates).  CardBus requires different
interface as well as different voltage levels.  Most PCI PC Card adapters
uses CardBus chipsets but can not take CardBus cards because of the
voltage issues.

Not to mention the fact that the driver required would be totally
different.  So this completely rules out RG1x00 and AP-500 and 1000 from
being "upgraded".
