[nycwireless] linksys wireless-g: poor reception after accident(s)

OK, I've a bad habit of leaving my wireless card inside my laptop, so I may 
have damaged the wireless-g card. On the other hand, the plastic shield has 
popped off three times previously without incident. Anyway, as of yesterday 
my typically 100% signal strength to my home AP is about 40%, and I don't 
detect any of my neighbor's APs.  Nor do I get T-mobile/Verizon et al 
signals at Starbucks and the like.

Did I break the card? Can I fix the card?
