There would be challenges to that.  I used to work for a small
company that specializes in systems for the paging industry (billing,
provisioning, connects/disconnects and such).  Everything happens on
the telecom transport layer with paging unless you have a web
interface to allow messages to be sent from a web page or transferred
to an email medium.  

The device you wish to initialize would need some kind of "receiver"
to receive the page and transmit to a message.  I'm sure it can be
done but it depends on how much the effort means to you i.e. is it
for your home use or business need.  I missed the original thread so
