Hello. I hope that someone at the NYCwireless general discussion list will be able to provide some feedback on this issue:
I have a laptop (Dell Latitude CPi R400GT) running NetBSD 1.6.1. All works fine here, but I have problems setting a persistent WEP key up. It looks like it is possible setting up a key, we say test0: altair# ifconfig wi0 nwkey persist:test0 (at least NetBSD do not complains about this request.) But when I try to use the WEP encryption key I see the next error: altair# ifconfig wi0 nwkey persist ifconfig: SIOCS80211NWKEY: Invalid argument Before opening a problem report on this issue, I want to ask if Lucent Technologies WaveLAN cards (ORiNOCO ones, either silver or gold) support the 802.11 persistent keys feature. Perhaps this is the reason NetBSD fails reading the key from the card memory (there is not memory to store the encryption key). Thanks in advance for any help on this issue.
