ParkerVision announced its Horizons Wireless 1500USB USB Network Adapter
today.
The 802.11b adapter's claim to fame is a one mile open-field operating
range, when paired with either the company's 1500WLAN PC card or 1500WR
wireless router.
This performance is attributed to ParkerVision's patented D2D technology,
which uses direct conversion signal processing and other techniques
The 1500USB requires Windows 2000 or XP and sells for about $100 via the
company's website.
