Hello Don and all,
Not shocked about the MIA Verizon hotspots.... But NYCwireless
is always looking to expand our node count in semi & fully public
places. So, are you or someone else interested in contacting Amsterdam
Billiards to convince them to go free with the NYCwireless SSID. We'll
provide technical assistance for the setup of all NYCwireless nodes that
are public or semi-public.

Subject: [nycwireless] "Verizon HotSpot" - NOT!!!
am i the only person shocked at verizon's new marketing fiasco? i found
two places today that had "verizon hotspot" stickers on their doors.
amsterdam billiards and bar (76st+amsterdam) and the coffee cup
(9av+50st). both places have tables and chairs...and a "verizon hotspot"
sticker on the front door. neither have wifi networking.
ps, amsterdam billiards club and bar has an internet kiosk (which made a
total of $3 last month for the owners who are ready to remove it).
