Hello Kustov,

I would recommend you stick with a directional antenna for a
1000 feet link.

Subject: [nycwireless] Cantenna

Hello,
A friend and I are trying to connect together with a Cantenna we built.
I have an Airport base station (snow edition), and don't really want
to modify it. She has the cantenna and and wants to buy the Senao
SL251+Ext2 card, with the MC connector. I was wondering if hooking the
cantenna up to the card will work enough to get the link established.
We only need it to work maybe 1000 feet (at the most). If not, will
building an 5dbi omni directional antenna be sufficient? I was thinking
about the one in the link below.

Thanks for the advice,
~Kuskov~
