Antennas Boost Wireless Signal for Home Users
Users wishing to boost wireless signals have an array of choices. As
more and more Wi-Fi networks are set up, users are turning to antennas
to stretch or extend signal strength of base stations to back bedrooms
or guest houses. A variety of solutions exist, including
omnidirectional, directional or homemade antennas, to increase signal
strength. From a sawtooth-designed Yagi antenna to soup or Pringle's
cans, users can increase signals from three to 20 times. Users can also
expect to soon see "smart" antennas that use software to aim and focus
signals. (Source: New York Times)
