m0n0wall, the php-based FreeBSD firewall router (and Soekris front-end),
has merited new attention:
http://www.tomsnetworking.com/Reviews-162-ProdID-MONOWALL2-1.php

This how-to has a lot of the stuff that was lacking from the
http://m0n0.ch/ documentation, including newbie-level explanations of
its firewall and rules settings--including screenshots of the rules
pages! Let's hope it makes setting up the thing a little easier.

As the author says, it's not that m0n0wall's difficult, it's just that
it's so flexible you need to know what you want to do first. In other
words, "Con: Firewall configuration could be daunting for some users."

P.S. The latest version of m0n0wall was released a couple weeks ago. It
includes the captive portal enhancement.
