I have been getting a ton of p2p usage on my public node lately that has been close to saturating the connection for other things. I read that the Proxim AP-700 has features such as QoS, anyone with any direct experience? Ideally, I'd like to allocate anonymous MAC addresses about 56K of bandwidth, and perhaps lift the cap off one or two specific MAC addresses.
Info on the net about this device's capability seem scarce, but the price seems right at ~ $300. I am not fundamentally opposed to doing this w/ a linux or bsd box, however I have a lot of boxes right now and using an applicance for this type of workload has served me well in the past. My RG-1000 (w/ AirPort firmware) has been rock solid for a long time now. Thanks!
