CyanLine, LLC is offering a 3-day wireless security workshop in lower
Manhattan May 3-5. We think that some list members might be interested, mostly because it's in Manhattan. I asked a couple of days back about list guidelines for commercial postings, and didn't receive any kind of response, so here goes...

The workshop teaches a comprehensive approach to securing and auditing wireless networks, with a focus on using free and open-source tools as an auditing platform. There's an optional half-day introduction to the relevant parts of Linux networking, so that anyone with basic wireless knowledge can attend and learn. The course is almost entirely hands-on, with a focus on the practical methods--it's not just theory and explanations of how WEP works.

Anyone interested in the workshop can email me at <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> for more information, and I'll get the details out to you.

And if this sort of thing isn't appropriate for the list, please let me
know for the future. We don't want to spam the list if commercial postings are unwelcome.

Sincerely,

Ryan B. Lynch
