Call for volunteers - Community Access
I am looking for a small group of volunteers to help install a wireless network
for Community Access building in the Bronx on Franklin Ave. CA provides low
income housing around the city and has been great to work with through two
previous installs. This is our 3rd bldg and largest network so far. Some of the
duties will include:
* Punch down all floors runs to computer room patch panel
* Test out each floor run for connectivity and re-terminate if needed
* Config all APs
* Build Soekris Pebble gateway
* Test and troubleshoot as needed

The bldg contractor already pre-terminated and mounted the APs on each floor.
This means that one of most time consuming tasks has been eliminated :-).

I am looking for a group of around 6-8 volunteers. If you don't have the
appropriate skills donât worry! We will teach you what you need to know.
Tentative install date is Wednesday May 18th. Probably start mid-afternoon
(around 2:30) and run till we finish.

Please email me: dustin at nycwireless.net to RSVP.
