of the web, and the bright lights of New York City, to a
position as an Information Architect at Studio Archetype. Over the
course of John's professional career he consulted for a wide
variety of
clients including: Harman Kardon / JBL, General Motors, Motorola,
Nissan, Tiffany & Co., Verizon, Virgin Mobile, Vodafone, and a major

installations and a few t-shirts.
When the internet boom peaked he was at Razorfish working as the
Director of Mobile Solutions. He oversaw the user experience for
projects delivered to Vodafone, Citibank and Adobe, among others. He
then went to Motorola to be a Lead User Interface Designer and was in
charge of two new software platforms—one currently on handsets in the
Asian market and the other to debut sometime this year. More recently
he was the VP of Product Development at Upoc Networks, a software
company that develops mobile messaging applications.
Josh is also the Founding Editor and Publisher of Cool Hunting
(coolhunting.com) a web site updated daily with stuff from the
intersection of design, culture and technology.

School of the Arts at New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts in
Communications and Cognitive Science from Hampshire College.
Sandy Fershee
Sandy has been designing solutions for technical projects for more
than
8 years, with constant focus on user-centric solutions. From
developing
new web-based applications for organizations such as Goldman Sachs,
Merrill Lynch and Scholastic to consulting Razorfish cliental in
developing mobile platforms, she’s concentrated on ensuring technology
delivers its promises—increased functionality with ease of use and
simplified interaction.
Most recently, during her 3-year engagement at Motorola, Sandy had an
opportunity to focus solely on mobile phone technology. As a Lead User
Interface Designer she was involved in leading teams to re-purpose
legacy platforms and design emerging platforms while crafting new and
original functionality and refining these solutions based on testing
she conducted with end-users in different parts of the world.
Sandy’s involvement in technology projects has spanned the development
lifecycle as she held positions of Developer, Information Architect,
Project Manager and Lead Designer. As her career developed she’s
become
a master at managing development teams through immaculate design
documentation and precision communication.
Sandy holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
