Does anyone know if a (cheap) wireless router that has Gigabit Ethernet? Or to refrase the question....
I have a cable modem coming in to the location and machines with GbEthernet. If I connect a Linksys WRT54GL for use as a wireless/wired router / DHCP server to a GbEthernet hub/swtich. Will the machines on the wired network (connected only to the switch) be restricted to the transfer rate of the port on the WRT-54GL (100Mb)? Since the DHCP server is running on the WRT-54GL is everything on the network restricted to the speed of that device? I understand the wireless clients will be running at 54Mb/sec. Thanks!
