NY-birders, An adult Buff-breasted Sandpiper (my first of this age in NY) was on the beach at Georgica Pond in East Hampton, Suffolk Co. today around noon. It was rather flighty, but was in the general company of a large flock of Semipalmated Sandpipers that included 2 adult White-rumped Sandpipers. I will post photos online later this week.
