Birds observed this morning on the East Pond at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge included three previously reported Wilson's Phalaropes in the northeast corner of the East Pond, an American Avocet ranging from the island south to Mud Cove, an immature Sora, feeding along the line of Phragmites on the west side of the East Pond north of Mud Cove, and a Black Tern, observed by others on the East Pond. We did not observe the Marbled Godwit reported earlier this week.
