Six species in Bryant Park (Manhattan) during a lunch hour is a decent day.

Seen today, after the overnight cold snap, was a continuing *Ovenbird*. This
bird appears to be the same one seen since mid-October. It feeds mainly in
the northwest section and can be found under the laurel looking bushes. This
Ovenbird also ventures onto the paths and bocci ball courts when there isn't
much activity.

Also seen today is a continuing *Swamp Sparrow* that favors the walkway
south of the ice skating rink and is often found around the Crepe Cafe
booth.

Recently seen were 2 *Common Yellowthroats*, 1 female and 1 juvenile male.
The female was seen yesterday and the male was viewed on Wednesday after the
storm. The male Yellowthroat has a distinctive mask that makes it
identifiable as a bird that has been in the park for at least a few weeks.

The Begonias have finally wilted after this first decent frost.
