The Mew (Common) Gull was sleeping at its normal spot just SE of the footbridge over the Belt Parkway at Bay 16th Street today between 12:45-1:00 PM this afternoon before lifting off by itself and disappearing over the apartments to the north of the Parkway.
There were a shade over a thousand Ring-billed Gulls between the north pull-off and the Caeser's Bay ballfields today. Good Birding -Doug Gochfeld.
