100s of golden-crowned kinglets, along with a few scattered ruby-crowned mixed in feeding in undergrowth. Kinglets became abundant once we reached an elevation where trees became shorter and canopy started to open up, this change in habitat takes place just below the first large open viewpoint near the tramway ruins.
Have also seen LOTS of golden-crowned kinglets at Harriman State Park over the last few weeks.
