My wife Samantha and I searched for the Common Ground-Dove at Captree State Park (Suffolk Co.) today without success. We searched from 9-11 and then after birding Jones Beach we returned from 2:20-4. We walked back-and-forth from the southern parking lot to the green buoy several times, and we sat still watching the green buoy either in the car or from in front of the red buoy. We didn't see any other birders there.
