When all accounts received are compared, it is clear that there were a minimum of (9) Ross’s Geese Present in the Orange County BDR during the period of 4 March through 9 March 2011. (6) Adult White Geese including one with prominent bumps on head, (1) adult Blue Morph and (2) juveniles. If the single white adult with the first group is not one of the five white adults in the second group, than it is likely that there were at least (10) RG present. When you consider the various locations the birds were seen, it is possible (though not proven) that there were more. -- NYSbirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsRULES ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/nysbirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/NYSB.html 3) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/NYSBirds-L Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
