I don't think anyone has posted an update on these two lingerers from last year, but despite the drop in temperature, the Dickcissel at Inwood Hill Park in northern Manhattan and the Rufous Hummingbird at The Rose Center of the American Museum of Natural History were both still present this afternoon.
The Dickcissel is just north of the west end of Dyckman Street at the south west end of Inwood Hill Park, near the ball fields. going in from Dyckman St. it was not as far as the basebal "dugout", but was at the first set of rock outcroppings. The Rufous Hummingbird continues on West 81st Street at the main entrance to the Rose Center, just off Central Park West. Happy New Year.
