Sixty-eight species were reported this week.  The most- reported species 
were Purple Finch (9 reports), Common Grackle (9), Common Raven (7 ) and 
Red-winged Blackbird (5).


The best birds were:

BLACK VULTURE: Hudson 2/26 (3), 2/28 (3).

RED-SHOULDERED HAWK: Palenville 2/29.

MERLIN: Five Rivers 2/27; Kiskatom 2/29.

NORTHERN SHRIKE: Malta 2/23.

BOHEMIAN WAXWING: Warrensburg 2/23 (2), 2/24(2)

BALTIMORE ORIOLE: Niskayuna 2/29.

Gadwall: Stanton Pond 2/29 (2).

American Wigeon: Snyder's Lake 2/22 (4); Niskayuna 2/26 (4).

Northern Shoveler: Saratoga 2/24.

Northern Pintail: Fort Miller 2/25 (10); Chatham 2/26; Halfmoon 2/28, 
2/29 (27).

Great Blue Heron: Niskayuna 2/24.

Turkey Vulture: Queensbury 2/23; Five Rivers 2/27 (4); Hudson 2/28 (10).

Bald Eagle: Stockport 2/24; Round Lake 2/25; Collins Lake 2/27; Hudson 
2/28 (2); Ramshorn 2/28 (4).

Northern Harrier: Coxsackie Grasslands 2/22; Greenport 2/25; Fort Edward 
2/25 (~15).

Sharp-shinned Hawk: Saratoga 2/22.

Cooper's Hawk: Greenport 2/23; Five Rivers 2/27; Hudson 2/28.

Rough-legged Hawk: Fort Edward 2/25.

American Kestrel: Coxsackie Grasslands 2/22; Livingston 2/28.

Killdeer: Stockport 2/24; Chatham 2/26; Cobleskill 2/28 (4); Livingston 
2/29.

Great Horned Owl: Five Rivers 2/24.

Fish Crow: Greenport 2/26.

Horned Lark: Saratoga County Airport 2/25

Carolina Wren: Niskayuna 2/23; Catskill 2/26 (2); East Greenbush 2/26..

Golden-crowned Kinglet: Windham 2/23 (5); Five Rivers 2/27 (3-5).

Hermit Thrush: Chatham 2/26.

Fox Sparrow: Ramshorn 2/28 (5).

Swamp Sparrow: Livingston 2/28.

Pine Siskin: Thurman 2/23 (6); Lake Desolation Road (many) 2/24; 
Warrensburg 2/24; Stony Creek 2/26 (16).
