Today, after having a hearing aid repaired at the VA Hospital in Northport,
L.I., I visited nearby Sunken Meadow S.Pk. in pursuit of the Yellow- rumped
(Audubon's) Warbler, that had been seen, off & on, this past season. This was
my 3rd try, so I guess I have figuratively "struck-out" with this individual
I did get a "hit" though, when I found 9 Common Mergansers in the water w/o the
car bridge. What made this a bit special for me was missing this specie this
past fall and winter, only to get it as a FOY bird...in the spring!
