Each year about this time, I visit the man who has been doing our taxes for
over 30 years. Lately, we have been the "payer", with last years tariff being
particularly cruel ! So today, it came as a nice surprise ( although we still
owed our'uncle") the amount was just a shadow of it's former self !
Leaving his office in Bohemia at ~ 3:45 PM, and with the day being plain
"gorgeous", I decided to route myself through Smith Point Co. Pk., Mastic
Beach, on the way home to Riverhead. While traveling s/e on Veterans Highway,
about a mile from the intersection of Sunrise Highway, an adult N. Goshawk,
flying fairly low, crossed the highway, continuing in an easterly direction.
Although there wasn't any more surprises at S/P/Co/Pk., nor at the Forge
River, Moriches, I was quite satisfied with the two I had earlier, which made
Tax Day 2011 much more fun than the previous one!
Cheers,Bob
