A walk in the woods of the Rocky Point DEC property from ~ 0845 to ~ 1045 this
morning (which was sunny, but cool) was not "bird- busy". Of note were a Brown
Creeper, 2 Hermit Thrushes, an adult, male, Yellow-rumped Warbler in full
breeding regalia, 4 Pine Warblers (2 seen & 2 heard) and a singing FOS Field
Sparrow. Curiously, I did not see or hear any species of woodpecker, especially
the "growl" of a red-bellied !
