From: rada...@msn.com To: nysbirds-l@cornell.edu Subject: Date: Fri, 6 Apr 2012 18:19:14 -0400 A walk in the woods of the Rocky Point DEC property from ~ 0845 to ~ 1045 this morning (which was sunny, but cool) was not "bird- busy". Of note were a Brown Creeper, 2 Hermit Thrushes, an adult, male, Yellow-rumped Warbler in full breeding regalia, 4 Pine Warblers (2 seen & 2 heard) and a singing FOS Field Sparrow. Curiously, I did not see or hear any species of woodpecker, especially the "growl" of a red-bellied ! A Happy Easter and a Holy Passover to those who observe them,Bob -- NYSbirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/nysbirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/NYSBirds-L 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/NYSB.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
