A rather uneventful day at the beach except for a sea watch, from 4:00 - 5:30 PM, at Robert Moses parking field 5. Highlights included:
Manx Shearwater 1 Sooty Shearwater 1 Gannet 3 Earlier in the day during a one mile hike along the beach at Jones West End I found 2 dead Sooty Shearwaters. Unfortunately, I was unable to salvage them for the AMNH (sorry Paul). However, I did deposit the first records of this species for Delaware in the AMNH many years ago.
