The eclipse-plumaged male EURASIAN WIGEON was still present on Mill Pond
in Sayville (Suffolk Co.) this morning between 9:25 and 9:40. The warm
colors of the EUWI and those of the fall foliage reflected in the water
were a very pleasing sight. Otherwise, total waterfowl numbers and diversity
were low, just American Wigeon, a few Green-winged Teal, Mallards,
and Mute Swans.
