Gary Strauss just called to report the Virginia's Warbler at Alley Pond.
His message indicates that the bird was somewhere near an opposite wall
along the slope near the highway.

Sent from somewhere in the field using my mobile device!

Last night, Eric Miller and I discussed the new location of the Virginia's
Warbler and Eric shared that he also had a Clay-colored Sparrow near the
area. This is another good bird for Alley Pond Park, so keep yours eyes
out for this bird as well.

In addition, Eric indicated that he along with other birders did search for
the Painted Bunting with no luck.

Other intelligence shared by Eric regarding the Virginia's Warbler,
included his observation that there was a lot of tree cutting activity near
the areas where the Virginia's Warbler frequented before going MIA for a
few days. This is worth knowing because if the work subsides, the bird
might circle back to forage in what is now familiar habitat.

Good luck to all who continue to try for this bird. Please continue to post
both positive as well as negative reports as they help those who still have
yet to connect with this bird.

Tis the season for Good Birding!
