The VIRGINIA'S WARBLER continues at Alley Pond and seems to cover a fair amount of ground. Bob Anderson found the bird in a mixed flock at 11:30 along the path leading north from the baseball field towards the pond, after seeing it near the Nutmeg Meadow earlier in the morning. After a brief glimpse at 11:30 the bird disappeared, but turned up behind the adventure course high-wire apparatus at 1:30, moving with a small group of Golden-crowned Kinglets. After about twenty minutes, the bird flew over the ball field in the general direction of the Nutmeg Meadow.
Six WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS were eating grit from the base of a storm-toppled tree north of the ball fields. Four RUSTY BLACKBIRDS were in the pond north of the fields.
