Hi, A very quiet morning at Shinnecock Inlet. More bulldozers
than birds around the jetties and no real movement of birds offshore .We
found a lone Bonaparte Gull lolling with Ringbills on the sliver of sandbar
at the inner bay. Down past Tiana parking lot by the summertime bars we
were checking the pines and within 5 minutes had a swirl of Crossbills over
our heads. There were well over a hundred and this flock contained both
species. Good December Birding, Carl Starace
