A few highlights from an all day birding in the Bronx includes the following:

Cackling Goose (CACG) on the Parade Grounds @ Van Cortlandt Park. No sign of
the Barnacle Goose and it could be that this bird has moved on.

The assortment of wintering warblers in our area continue; 2 (PRAIRE WARBLER
and PALM WARBLER western) out of 3 warblers that were found on the Bronx CBC
were re-found and observed today by Eric Miller, Arie Gilbert, Bob Hayes and I.

At Pelham Bay 9 KILLDEERS roamed the mud flats at Turtle Cove. Near that same
area a careful examination of a flock of Goldfinches, revealed 1 COMMON
REDPOLL, with the possibility of a few more in the area.

In a belated report, yesterday I had the continuing NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH and a
WILSON'S WARBLER at the LIE interchange Alley Pond Park restoration area in
Queens.

Good Winter Birding!
