This morning I saw a Black-billed Cuckoo in Massapequa Preserve, about 1/4 mile 
north of Pittsburg Ave on the dirt path running n-s on the west side of the 
preserve. It caught and ate 1 or 2 caterpillars, so did not appear to be 
carrying food, which would indicate breeding. Besides the usual breeders the 
only thing of note was an immature Cooper's hawk being chased by Jays and a 
Kingbird. The pond where John Turner found Least Bitterns 2 years ago is 
occupied by a family of swans
