An adult red-headed woodpecker was well seen at Muscoot Farm in
Westchester around 8am this morning by Paul Lewis and Jim Jones. It
was not relocated this afternoon.

When seen, it was in dead snag along the main farm road from the
parking area through the pastures just past a mulberry tree. (This
tree is full of fruit right now and attracting waxwings, orioles,
grosbeaks and more.)

The red-headed woodpecker was last seen this morning headed west into
the nearby woods.

Muscoot Farm is a Westchester County owned property along Route 100
seven mi N of the Millwood exit of the Taconic Pkwy.
