In late morning, 2 immature Iceland Gulls on beach at Road L, along Dune Road
west of Ponquogue Bridge, and 3 at Shinnecock, just west of inlet; also 3 Snowy
Owls seen from road, one on the large sandbar north and slightly west of the
Inlet. I then searched at length for the Pink-footed Goose , finally
encountering Dave Klauber and Bobby Rossetti, who were looking at it in a flock
of Canadas along Roanoke Avenue north of Joyce Drive -- where there had been no
geese an hour earlier. Soon after, we descried a Cackling Goose among the
Canadas.
