Two hours spent birding Marcy Woods (north end of the Southard's Pond-Belmont
State Park greenbelt, Suffolk County) were quite productive, despite not
finding either of the Summer Tanagers reported from the area yesterday. There
were very few transient migrants present in general, but those found were
exceptional--
2 MOURNING WARBLERS, at least 6 Canada Warblers, and a YELLOW-BELLIED
FLYCATCHER of which I only got a few glimpses (distinctly yellow wash on the
underparts), but which kindly sang 4-5 times, clinching the ID.
