After bierding Jones Beach State Park this morning, I went to the north shore to look for the Manderin Duck on pond on Engineers Rd. Roslyn Harbor. The Manderin was a no show. Checked other ponds in area with no luck. Then went to NYIT to look for the Greater White-fronted Goose found by Bob Kurtz on Sat. NS CBC. after driving NYIT property found large goose flock in field at corner of Northern Blvd. and Valentines La. Greenvale, NY. no luck. On the way home passed by Engineers Rd. one last time, the only bird on the pond was the Greater White-fronted Goose, scared off bya neighborhood child that was probably coming to feed it.
