At croton point this warm spring morning (yeah) first swamp sparrow also 
several gc kinglets, phoebe, one kingfisher many wood ducks, Scaup on river 
side, one of baby GH owlets getting big (I have seen two and heard there are 
three), 3 kestrel, 2 savannah sparrow, a few BE around, and unfortunately a 
dead hawk -- appears to be the imm. Red shouldered that was around all winter. 
Its in the tent campground area across from camp site 8 ensnared in vines, not 
reachable. At the New Croton Dam the water was cascading over the spillway as 
ice melts, saw the reported 4 near full breeding plumaged common loon (2 close 
in seen from road that goes over bridge), dozens of ring necked duck hundreds 
of common mergs. Eagle on nest and others on ice, also both cormorants great 
appeared breeding plumage. 
And first morning cloak.
