Just got word that the Caracara was refound and photographed sitting in a tree on the side of the road about 1/2 mile north of where it was feeding on the deer carcass. This was at 4:45 today. The photos are posted on a hawkwatching facebook page. So the bird may well be there tomorrow as it did not disappear.
