  The Buffalo Bird Report is a service provided by your
  Buffalo Museum of Science and the Buffalo Ornithological
  Society. To contact the Science Museum, call 896-5200. Press
  the pound key to report sightings before the end of this
  report.

  WHIMBRELS, HARLEQUIN DUCKS and warblers highlight reports
  received May 14 through May 21 from the Niagara Frontier
  Region.

  May 20, on the Lake Erie shore in Fort Erie, Ontario, 36
  WHIMBRELS at Windmill Point. Single WHIMBRELS also at two
  other Fort Erie beaches, and a total of over 100 DUNLINS.
  RED-HEADED WDPKRS. also at perrenial locations in Fort Erie
  - Waverly Beach and Kraft Road.

  In the Niagara Falls gorge, May 16, a reported pair of
  HARLEQUIN DUCKS below the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.

  Warbler migration was still strong during the past week. 21
  species in total were reported. Later migrant BLACKPOLL
  WARBLER, CANADA WARBLER and WILSON'S WARBLER, plus OLIVE-SIDED
  FLYCATCHER, PHILADELPHIA VIREO, VEERY and LINCOLN'S SPARROW
  at Forest lawn in Buffalo.

  May 18, two BLACK-BILLED CUCKOOS, ACADIAN FLYCATCHER, WILLOW
  FLYCATCHER and EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE, with 13 warbler species,
  along Ellicott Creek in Lancaster.

  Also the 18th, COMMON NIGHTHAWK in the Chautauqua County
  Town of Sheridan.

  Other reports - Two PINE SISKINS still at a feeder in North
  Boston. Also 2 COMMON RAVENS in North Boston. In Elma, two
  SCARLET TANAGERS. BANK SWALLOW colony at Dietz Road, by the
  Lake Ontario shore in Porter. And in North Buffalo, MERLIN
  and CAPE MAY WARBLER.

  The Bird Report will be updated Thursday evening, May 28.
