Shortly after 8am this morning I spotted a Boat-tailed Grackle (female type
plumage) perched on a piling at Pier 11 which is south of Wall St. The call
was a hard "chuk" which leads me to believe it's a juvenile male. Some of
the wing coverts on the folded wing were very dark compared to the rest of
the wing..

I saw it again south of Pier and 11 just north of the heliport when it flew
over the highway towards South St.
