I don't know what the tides were the last few days this bird was seen, but several people, unfortunately including myself, unsuccessfully searched the entire length of the beach for this bird for several hours mid-afternoon around high tide. The bird was viewed (of course, by many others) both before and after this tidal period. I would suggest to anyone searching for this bird in the next few days, to review the tide charts to avoid high tide. However, during this high tide period, the shoreline held a good number of shorebirds, including one Pectoral Sandpiper. Pat Palladino --
