Montezuma National Wildlife Complex (MNWC) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC)------------ 10/27: 2 CACKLING GEESE were seen along the Wildlife Drive. 10/31: 32 SANDHILL CRANES were seen at Knox-Marsellus Marsh. 11/1: A bird initially identified as a CINNAMON TEAL was found in Larue’s Lagoon just past the Visitor’s Center. The possibility of it being a hybrid Cinnamon/Blue-wing Teal are now being studied and discussed. Anyone with good photos is being asked to submit them to ebird. The bird was seen today also. An EURASIAN WIGEON was seen in the Main Pool. Onondaga county------------ 10/30: 2 BRANT were seen along the Liverpool Parkway. They were seen again the next day. Oswego county------------ 10/27: A LAPLAND LONGSPUR was seen in Phoenix in the grass near the liftbridge. Madison County------------ 10/27: Lingering shorebirds seen were LEAST SANDPIPER and GREATER YELLOWLEGS at the turf farm north of Chittenango and a SEMI-PALMATED SANDPIPER in West Eaton.
