Please join the Brooklyn Bird Club Tomorrow evening At 7:00 PM for:

Connecting to Native Biodiversity in the Urban Landscape

Presenter: Marielle Anzelone

Location: Brooklyn Public Library Central Branch at Grand Army Plaza

Marielle Anzelone from the NYC Wildflower Week will be presenting their work
including plans for a PopUP Forest in Times Square. Their intent is to
transform a public plaza in Times Square into a patch of forest with a
temporary installation of trees and wildflowers.

Marielle is the founder and executive director of NYC Wildflower Week. Her
training as an urban ecologist helps her connect people to nearby nature and
determine how design, education, and government can promote this relationship.
She is also advancing local biodiversity policy. A bill that she helped
develop, supporting native plants in public landscapes, became law in 2013.
