A Common Raven that I encountered on Sandy Hook (NJ) this past Saturday was seen to fly north over Raritan Bay towards NYC. With recent sightings on the eastern shore of Staten Island and also at Gravesend Bay/Coney Island it's interesting to consider just how much ground individual Ravens might be covering - does anyone have any information on the size of an individual's winter foraging range for this species ?
