Always pleased at what I regard a sign of Spring really beginning, I found 8 Snowy Egret in the Terrell River Preserve, Center Moriches, Suffolk County. Admittedly, they were huddled on a leeward shoreline to escape the rather cool breeze, but they were there, as were a pair of Osprey; they, too, were perched alee rather than out near the nest platform.
