Ian Resnick will present “Machu Picchu”
In July 2016, QCBC member and former president Ian Resnick birded Machu
Picchu, other highland areas in the vicinity, as well as two areas not far from
Lima. The first day was a private trip north of Lima, and the rest was a group
tour of the highlands starting from Cusco. Approximately 185 species of birds
were seen or heard among some of the most amazing scenery in the Andes. The
weather for this trip was quite good, in fact too dry in some spots, and very
cold at the highest altitudes (over 13,000 feet!).
Ian will be showing his photos from the trip and discussing the various
birds seen and sites visited.
