This morning I ran to the Town Dock at the end of Pine Neck Ave in E Patchogue. 
This is where the swan river enters the Great South Bay. 

There is an osprey tower with a pair of osprey (first year for a pair). A 
subadult (probably 2nd year) bald eagle flew above and was chased off by an 
Osprey. A pair of killdeer were on the western sand spit and there was a 
flyover by a single Glossy Ibis
