A *new species* for Bryant Park in mid-town Manhattan (N.Y. City), a Clapper Rail is also most unusual for N.Y. County as well, despite the fact the species breeds & is regular in other counties within N.Y. City. Discovered by N. Butterini Monday May 10th, & then with help from G. Willow, leading his regular guided walk there, the I.D. was solidified, & others on the walk - & later arrivers - able to observe this unusual 'midtown' visitor, as well as a variety of other migrants. (Plenty of other migrants all around, with fresh arrivals having boosted some of the already-present species, and some further new arrivals for the county.)

good birding,
