After no confirmed sightings yesterday, the male Mottled Duck appeared at the north end of Ketcham's Creek this morning around 7:30, likely having flown in with a dozen or so other dabblers 10 or 15 minutes prior. At 7:35, its female took off and headed NE, and the Mottled followed a few seconds after, disappearing over houses in that direction. So the bird is still around, but no less challenging to pin down.
